Wp-e-Commerce 3.7.6
Posted by jghazally | Filed under wordpress, wp-e-commerce
Hi Cool Cats and Coders!
Wp-e-Commerce 3.7.6 just got tagged and released today, was a good feeling getting the version out the door, it fixes a whole lot of problems and introduces a lot of you to the new Settings>Checkout page which was a proud enhancement I worked on a while back. Not to take away the lime light from the other great fixes and enhancements like the gateway fixes, CSS and template mods, just too many for me to run through off the top of my head, for a more detailed explanation about the changes please read my post on getshopped website ‘Launching 3.7.6‘
Another big notice about this release is the new hooks and filters that have been added that open up the doors to a whole range of possibilities for module and plugin extensions, including the new Currency Converter that allows users to see the products prices in their respective countries currency using a currency widget.
I feel like this release has been long overdue, we’ve been hard at work helping a lot of users out with all sorts of requests, most of which are now core wp-e-commerce enhancements available in this release.
Thanks to all the wordpress-wp-e-commerce developers that have made this release rock!
Till next time code monkeys! Happy Upgrading

I just upgraded to 3.7.6 – I’m hoping maybe you can point me in the right direction, the forums seem to have the blind leading the blind around town.
When purchasing products, I go to checkout and the checkout form shows the product, but no fields?? Where did all our fields go? What happened….

Thanks so much for any insight you might have!

Can you help? I tried to find somewhere to post my question on the help forums at the wp-e-commerce site (getshopped.org) but couldn’t find anywhere to post….
That frustration aside, I’m trying to install a coupon for my ebook. I have the taxes all set and working (province-specific, locked in only for that province), except when I apply the coupon code, the taxes almost double (weird, that it’s almost).
The book is 9.95.
BC taxes: 0.70
Subtotal, 10.65
So far so good.
When I apply a 10% tax (putting “eWN” in the coupon code box in the checkout reduces the price by $1.00), the tax increases to $1.28, increasing the actual tax rate from 7% to 12.8% …. Where this arbitrary number comes from, I don’t really know! Likewise, when I apply for a 50% tax (putting “test” in the coupon code box) the taxes come in at $0.71 or 14.2%.
Suddenly not so good anymore. Feel free to test this out on my website at http://www.theThreeStrategies.com
This is an amazing product and except for this one glitch I am incredibly impressed. Thanks for all your good work on this; you should be proud!!
All the best,
Britt
